I noticed in Kindergarten that I better start checking Bradley's pockets because I would always find strange things in the laundry. (I learned the hard way with Chapstick in the dryer.) He would come home with the most random things you could find on the ground. Well, he's still doing it and it just makes me laugh. It's kind of fun. What will I find today?? Sometimes it's a scribbled message that somehow didn't make it to the trash. Sometimes a bottle cap. Sometimes the very tiny tip of a crayon. You never know. So I decided to collect these things for two weeks to see what I'd find in his pockets.

This is what I collected over a two week period. I'm sure there's more things he put somewhere. Who doesn't need a broken
rubber band?? Who doesn't love a sticker with no stick?? Puffy paint peeled off of something- I'll take that. These are the things that must run through his mind. I don't even know what the red plastic thing is on the little key ring. But he must need it for something. I throw these things away because this stuff is the last thing I need around my house. After I throw this stuff away sometimes he'll spot it in the trash and ask why I threw it away. And he'll inform me that it's "really cool" or "I'm going to use that". So now I make sure it's in the bottom of the trash so he can't see it!
Bradley is so funny about his "things". When we're playing out front I just laugh when he's riding his bike and he stops to pick some tiny treasure up from the ground and stuffs it in his pocket. Another thing to add to one of his "collections" (he's got a lot of those).
